He will compare his storyboards to the scenes in the show and give advice for artists applying to work on a series like Stranger Things. ![]() Based on their experiences, the course content will be iterated on and used to teach students from their academies later in 2023 and into 2024. We invited Mark Simon, The Godfather of Storyboarding to discuss Stranger Things and the creative process behind the series. Later in the year, they will return to BUas to work together on filming the shots, using the raw footage to assemble into their film. ![]() They even worked together to develop their own micro-short film, covering everything from shot-planning to storyboarding. ![]() In addition to the VPSN workshop, the week also featured the Virtual Production Gathering conference, a masterclass by Iron Films, and the VP Green consortium which explored virtual production through the lens of sustainability.ĭuring the VPSN workshop, lecturers from Denmark, Norway, and Portugal were taken through the pre-production stages for a virtual production shoot, using custom-made teaching materials and live demonstrations of cutting edge cinema and television technology.
